Reseña crítica: El equivalente de la Hammer a LA NOVIA DE FRANKENSTEIN (1935) toma de aquel clásico solo la idea principal y construye un decepcionante relato dramático dirigido con oficio por el maestro Fisher. El Barón Frankenstein (Cushing, siempre coherente), llega a un pueblo en el que se interesa vivamente por la preservación de la vida luego de la muerte. Aquí no hay un monstruo propiamente dicho, sino una mujer reanimada (que no tiene ni costuras ni tornillos, y es, dicho sea de paso, bastante bonita). [Cinefania.com]
