  The project Boeing XP-936 was very interesting because it took to the realization of the first metallic monoplane fighter in USA. Ordered by US Army in 1933 for the series production, the "Peashooter" was easy to distinguish because of the tough shapes, of the open cockpit and of the fixed-landing gear. The P-26 serviced as first-line fighter in USA, on Hawaii and Panama until 1939. The plane was also used by China, Spain, Philippines, Guatemala and Panama. Some exemplars were used against the japanese forces in 1941 , at Pearl Harbour and Philipphines
