ROMASANTA (2004)
Comments: Romasanta it's a wonderful GOTHIC STORY. It's a peculiar mixture between The Silent of the Lambs and Sleepy Hollow or From Hell. It's more than a normal horror werewolf movie. Much more. It's a story where gothic meets romance, where horror meets love, where documentary meets fairytale. Yes. 'cause this is a TRUE STORY!!! Manuel Blanco Romasanta is one of the most intriguing serial killers of all times. He was judged in Spain in 1852. having confessed the killing of at least 13 people, he dared proclaim his innocence: he was not guilty because he was a werewolf! The thing I liked most is the way the authors introduce us in a REAL FAIRYTALE. I don't find other words to describe this story. it's fantasy and reality at the same time. It's like to be at the same time in a chapter of CSI and in the tale of Red Riding Hood. We experience this adventure from the point of view of Barbara, the woman who falls in love with Manuel Romasanta and who progressively changes her love into rage.. The arc of the character is so well developed, that the identification with her is complete. We do feel the same love and the same hatred that Barbara felt towards Manuel. Another strong point of the movie is the cast. and moreover the female roles. The actresses who play Barbara and her sister Maria are superb. I really enjoyed the way they expressed their arena. Finally, last but not least, I do suggest to keep an eye on this young director: Paco Plaza. Believe me, he's a TRUE GENIUS.

NOSFERATU: EINE SYMPHONIE DES GRAUENS (1922)
Comments: Being more of a horror movie lover than a film critic-I had to give this film 5 stars!
The special effects, score and cast of this movie are extraordinary considering it is 82 years old!It still manages to entertain and frighten me in 2004- with more recent horror movies having little or no scare factor even with all our current technology. If you do manage to catch this version of the Dracula story, you will notice it's identical to Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 version which is true to the book & is also one of my favourite horror movies. You MUST also check out "In the Shadow of the Vampire" starring Willem Dafoe & John Malkovich. That movie reveals the bizarre story behind the original and made me believe that Nosferatu is the greatest horror movie of all time!

MONSTER SQUAD, THE (1987)
Comments: the best eighties nostalgical film for twenty somethings, shame about poor Brent Chalem who played Horace AKA Fat kid.

he died in 1997 of pneumonia aged just 22 years old....life is precious.

note to the lady who is still in love with Ryan Lambert AKA Rudy (yeah this guy was f*****G cool to the core)

Ryan is now 33 and was on the US kids show "Kids Inc" and is or was last known gigging for a californian rock group called "Elephone" as a vocalist frontman.

i have had an appraisal from a friend of Brent Chalem's dad who asked if i had any other info on his son and also asked if i could supply info for Ryan and Andre Gower (Sean) who were friends of Brent right up until his death........keep looking and you will find what your looking for!!!

PROJECTED MAN, THE (1966)
Comments: Not a good movie at all. No action, next to no plot, and the timing was HORRIBLE! Most scense were.... nothing.

The ONLY good part about this movie is that the lovely, and unfortunatly little worked (i hope nothing bad happend to her, and she just decided to leave the movies because she was in crappy ones like this, she was actually pretty good) Tracy Crisp was in her LOVELY underwear for at least 80% of the time she was on screen (very tasteful, FAR more modest then today's swimsuits).

To let you know how bad it is: It was on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

ALIEN ABDUCTION: INCIDENT IN LAKE COUNTY (1998)
Comments: God damn this idiot director has got to be the spupidest person on the face of the planet.I forced myself to watch the entire idiodic presentation.

The people were obviously actors. The camera went off at the most inappropriate time.Damn I cant believe I actually sat through the whole thing.

Simply stupid and done without any skill whatsoever. If I met the director on the street I might just kick his ass for good measure.
